Child Friendly VillageSterlite Copper promotes awareness on Mother and child care through project called ‘Child Friendly Village’. The Project ensures birth registration and that all school age children are in school and no child is involved in Child Labor. To make this happen, the ‘First Birthday’ of every child is celebrated in the project villages, irrespective of caste, creed and religion. Sterlite sponsors every child’s birthday by cutting cake, gifting dress, toy and a tree sapling to ensure that every child gets its birth certificate and goes to school at the right age. Sterlite improved home based care which is most effective way to save children’s lives.
